Step by step: adding a wireless zone

Step 1: Confirm you have an open station. Check your controller for a free station output. If every station is used, a wireless controller upgrade is a separate option, but most additions start from a spare station.

Step 2: Set the new valve and heads. Do the local plumbing for the new zone: tee off the mainline, run the lateral pipe, and set the valve and sprinkler heads where the coverage is needed.

Step 3: Wire the transmitter at the controller. Connect the EVO transmitter to the open station output. The controller now sends that station’s signal to the transmitter.

Step 4: Wire the receiver at the new valve. Mount the receiver near the new valve box and connect it to the valve’s solenoid, keeping it within reliable range of the transmitter.
