Thrive Wins People’s Choice Award

Thrive Smart Systems successfuly competes in their first pitch competition.

The Thrive Smart Systems team competed against seven other teams in the 2019 Student Innovator of the Year Competition, hosted annually by the Brigham Young University Engineering department. Thrive won the people’s choice award of $1,000 for their wireless sprinkling system solution which allows communication between any conventional irrigation controller and remote-control valves located up to 200 yards away.


“We are grateful for the opportunity to present our product and business plan and to gain the recognition of those in the participating audience,” said Seth Bangerter, president of Thrive Smart Systems.

The Student Innovator of the Year award is hosted by BYU Engineering and the Weidman Center for Global Leadership in conjunction with the BYU Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship &Technology.
